2023 Kauai Beautifully Flawed Retreat attendees

Our first-ever, Beautifully Flawed Retreat for returning attendees was one for the books! Twenty-five young women, all previous attendees, traveled all the way to our beautiful island of Kauai this past May to experience the most life-changing four days — a time of healing, fun, and community.

It was a true taste of Hawaii for these girls, from the very food that was eaten down to the wide variety of activities they got to partake in. From Lei Po’o (flower crown) making and playing footgolf, to jumping of the Hanalei pier, and learning to surf, to going on an outrigger and sharing a meal at Duke’s Kauai, to experiencing a traditional Luau and learning to hula, and so much more, there are truly no words that can adequately describe the time we shared together.

Most notably, the healing presence of God was so tangible throughout it all. Whether it was during group sessions, sharing their stories and most recent struggles, experiencing the beauty of the island, or the victory of riding a wave, these girls had real encounters with pure joy, true transformation, complete freedom, and the closeness of family.

It was as if a physical weight was lifted off everyone’s shoulders and a spirit of joy was imparted instead. All left feeling empowered and refreshed, reminded of their true worth in Jesus, and confident in their ability to overcome through Him.

We are so incredibly thankful for this powerful time we got to share together along with all of the amazing partners, sponsors, and volunteers that made it all possible. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for each and every one of you. Mahalo!
