Back for April 2024 is our fundraising efforts with Mike Hess Brewing of San Diego!
For the third year in a row, Mike Hess Brewing has chosen the Beautifully Flawed Foundation as one of their Charities of the Month. April is a particularly special month for us as well as it is Limb Loss Awareness Month! For the entire month of April, each of the Mike Hess Brewing locations will be serving up a brand new beer, “Listen, Lynda,” with a portion of all sales of this new brew going back to our foundation.
“Listen, Lynda” is a 5.8% ABV New England Pilsner with notes of breadiness, zesty lime, honey dew, and peach nectar. This is a specialty brew made with the female Mike Hess Brewing employees in celebration of International Women’s Day! Its bright, light, and tropical hoppy profile is perfect for the springtime.
Then, mark your calendars for Saturday, April 27th from 6-9pm!
We will be hosting a Charity Luau at Mike Hess Brewing – Imperial Beach, benefiting our programs for young men and women with limb difference. We invite you to come on out and join us for an evening of Hawaiian entertainment including live music, hula dancing, fire dancing, games, prizes, and more! And don’t forget to wear those Hawaiian shirts and floral prints. This is a free event with a portion of sales of food and drink going back to the Beautifully Flawed Foundation. We can’t wait to see you there!
