Merry Christmas & Aloha from Adam, Bethany, & the Boys

Merry Christmas & Aloha,

Well it is winter here in Hawaii, no snow! But the swells have arrived and the waves have been firing.  I’ll give you one guess as to what Bethany is doing right now.  She is doing what she loves to do best, Surf!

As surfers, parents, and entrepreneurs, we always do our best to find balance as a family when the waves are good.  Work, homeschool, and surf are the main things we find ourselves focusing on. Hold on, reverse that, surf, homeschool, then work (: Even something as fun as surf can pull us away from the things that are important in life.  Finding the time to sit down, breathe, pray, read or listen to God’s Word, can often times go to “back-burner” priorities when there is so much to do! I’m sure you can relate with the busyness of family and work life.

Bethany and I really love this time of year, because we fight hard to slow things down (work-wise) and allow the space to be grateful for the many blessings that God has given.  We are thankful for all the basic necessities that we have, good health, family, the ability to share love & hope to others in many ways.  That is why we continue to love being apart of the Beautifully Flawed Foundation. It is such a blessing to be a part of a program that cares so deeply about young men and women that have faced incredible hardships in their lives.  We know that the work that is being done has lasting impact in each and every attendee that comes to a retreat, and it is amazing because this impact happens not only because of the incredible Beautifully Flawed team, or because of Bethany, this ministry is changing lives also because of the community of people that have gathered around the organization to support and make this mission possible.

Thank you so much for loving on our team.  Thank for you for coming alongside of us.  I hope that during this Christmas season you find the time to slow down and be grateful for the blessings in your life as well.

May the Good News of our Savior’s birth continue to bring joy and peace to your home as you ponder the mystery of God dwelling upon the earth in human form to offer Himself on the cross in our place.  May this message remain in your homes, in your ears and hearts, and on your lips as we celebrate Christ throughout all the seasons of the year and life.

Merry Christmas,
Adam, Bethany, and The Boys
