Overcoming the Odds
For Haven Shepherd, 2018 Beautifully Flawed retreat attendee, living life as an amputee is all she’s ever known — but
“It cannot be forged by just one person, it’s when two things are tweezed or squished together that they are forged into one stronger unit, and that’s what happens here at The Forge.”
We are thrilled to share The 2022 Forge Retreat highlight video!
Back for its 3rd year, The Forge Retreat had its largest number of attendees yet and we are so excited to watch the continued growth of this program in the years to come. Young men with limb differences come together catching waves, making memories and creating friendships through their individual stories.
Help further our mission and programs that support young people living with limb difference or those who’ve experienced traumatic limb loss by making a tax-deductible donation.
This organization (501(c)3 non-profit) was established in 2007 by the friends and family of Bethany Hamilton, a world-class professional surfer who lost her arm to a shark attack at the age of 13.
We believe there is a longing within every individual to overcome the trials, pains, and difficulties of life.
