Words can’t even begin to describe all that God did at the 2023 Beautifully Flawed retreat in Del Mar! We witnessed a total of 21 young women with limb difference come from all across the country and God do the impossible! We saw fears conquered and courage take flight as attendees got into the ocean to surf, despite any unease, and with perseverance, were able to stand up and catch waves!

We saw protheses taken off during cross fit workouts, which for some, was the first time they’d done so and they experienced an overwhelming amount of support and freedom. It was so incredible seeing friendships formed while making Haku leis, enjoying a bohemian picnic at the beach, or in times of group session when attendees would open up to one another and share their stories, their struggles, and the pain they’ve encountered in their journeys. In doing so, we saw God move and bring so much healing, an outpouring of joy, and a resurgence of hope in these girls as they realized they can overcome and God’s not done writing their stories!

Jesus is truly in the business of restoration and this week was a perfect reminder of that. There is freedom, abundant life, and victory to be had on this side of heaven and for that we’re beyond grateful!
