It is with great pleasure that we announce that we are hosting our first Beautifully Flawed retreat of the year!

We are hosting a private event on Kauai May 23-28! With the announcement of the reopening of our island and in careful coordination with local regulators, we are excited to restore this in-person experience for girls and young women with limb differences.

We’ve truly hit the ground running that we’ve nearly missed this big announcement to our public supporters and social community! We’ve been overwhelmed with gratitude at the collection of volunteers and sponsors that have teamed together to make this event as incredible as it’s ever been and more.

With many of our registered participants having experienced their trauma in the lockdown-era, they have been left with little to none support services and we are preparing to give them our very best. A loss as physical as these girls have experienced is challenging enough and they have been tenaciously patient through their healing processes in such unprecedented times. Our mission, as it has always been, is to bring these women a great sense of purpose and hope as they overcome some of life’s greatest hurdles – perhaps now more than ever.

Which brings us to the theme of this retreat – resilience! As I have personally read through each of our applicants testimonies, I have been brought to tears in realizing the compounding tragedy that has been the lack of support in these times. I’m simultaneously honored and encouraged that this ministry could be the light of hope through such dark times for the entire world. It’s their resilience that moves me from these pages and photos. It’s their resilience that has them allowed to pass through something tragic, yet still seek out forward momentum and the pursuit of growth. It’s resilience that they are choosing that victimhood is not in their story.

We’d like to ask you, our supporters, to continue building up this rapidly-approaching retreat with your financial contributions. As we graciously accept all that has come together for this retreat in recent weeks, we also see the gap in our funds to bring this experience to it’s absolute fullness. We ask you to prayerfully and mindfully consider what donations you are able to make in being an instrumental mobilizer of the Beautifully Flawed Retreat.
